In the spring of 2017, I was contacted by Barry Newton, a faculty member of the undergraduate architecture program at Montana State University. I was commissioned to create a book to document and commemorate his students' work for their “Bozeman Hybrid 3.0” project, which challenged each individual to design a building that integrates technological advancement in the growing community of Bozeman, Montana.
As to allow the students' work to serve as the focal point of each layout, I chose to keep my designing to a minimum; using a combination of student testimonials, renderings, floor plans, sections, and model photographs, I feel this book showcases the strengths of each students' work while also cohesively communicating the spirit of each project.
