After 33 years at Deloitte, then-CEO Cathy Engelbert decided to take on a new challenge, accepting the position of WNBA commissioner in 2019. Since then, Deloitte has partnered with the league to form the WNBA Changemakers campaign and has also sponsored three of its most prominent players: Kahleah Copper, Napheesa Collier, and Bria Hartley. The partnership between Deloitte and the WNBA seeks to create a vision for growing the league, support players and their values, engage fans, and maximize the impact of women’s sports.
To bring awareness to the Deloitte’s affiliation with the WNBA, my agency created a series of banners to be run on a number of online sports publications, with the goal to drive traffic to the Deloitte website. Static versions were also designed and used on some site placements. Banners were run at a variety of sizes and featured the sponsored athletes either individually or as a group.
The banners feature each of the the athletes’ names, but also speak to their own individual interests and values off the court.
To mirror the banners from above, we also created animated and static social content to be posted on Deloitte social channels and by the sponsored athletes themselves. Vertical assets were also created to be featured on Instagram and Facebook stories.
Alongside my agency creative director, I created the look and feel of the static versions of the banners and social posts, and then provided art direction to a freelance motion graphic designer to build the animated versions.
